Who We Are
- At Halton Hills Academy, we aim to help children achieve success each day and remain motivated to attain their goals. This is done by focusing on their strengths, providing strategies to remediate their weakness and continue to have a growth mindset.
- To achieve these goals, we provide your child a team that involves a psychologist, behaviour analyst and an academic teacher. We educate students aged 5-12 years with a small teacher to student ratio. Classes, typically up to 6 students in size are created based on students’ academic and social capabilities. The teaching will be delivered through a multi-modal and interactive approach using the SMART Boards in each classroom.
- Our curriculum will be based on Ontario guidelines, covering Kindergarten to Grade 6 curriculum which includes reading, writing, mathematics, science social studies and computers. An Individualized Education Plan is developed for each student with the needs of individual students in mind. These core subjects will be supplemented with art, music, and physical activity.
