Job Expectations
- HHA is also looking for experienced, highly motivated, empathetic, and skilled therapists to become part of our team. As a member, you would provide direct therapy to children (2 to 12) and their families. The scope will be general counselling and psychotherapy services for a wide range of issues
Qualifications:
- Must be registered and in good standing with a professional college (e.g. CRPO or OCSWSSW)
- Master’s degree in social work, psychology, counselling, mental health or other related health field
- A Minimum of one (1) year experience providing psychotherapy to children, adolescents and families
- Experience working with children struggling with mental health (primarily in the areas of behaviour regulation, emotional regulation, anxiety, depression, Mood disorders, etc)
- Extensive knowledge of various individual, and family intervention models.
- Understanding and knowledge of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy and Strength Based Therapy
- Ability to manage client crisis and engage in suicide risk assessment and intervention
- A satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector check is required
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills counselor
